Michigan Golfer TV - 2nd Season - Episode #4 March 1, 2002 ![]() This week's show visits five courses in Indiana: Walnut Creek, Heartland Crossing, Rock Hollow, Sultan's Run and Purgatory. Join host Bill Shelton and reporter John Martin of Golf US as they chat with Walnut Creek owner, Randy Ballinger, who has a "New and Old" proshop and a new restaurant. At Rock Hollow MGTV chatted with members of a sixsome-- all Smith family members, one of whom owns the course. Put Rock Hollow on your to-play list to see what architect Tim Liddy did with a quarry for the site. We stopped by Purgatory to chat with Mike Merchant about the first year of his course. Mike is a top stick in Indiana, knows his golf architecture and has a one of a kind course. Mike does a great job describing his "Alister MacKenzie Hole'. We also dropped by Sultan's Run to see Donna Hagen and the great waterfall at their 18th hole. Sultan's Run is like the Treetops of Indiana, great tract. We finished up the visit with Mike Caskey, Director of Golf at The Links at Heartland Crossing. Most of these Indiana folks will be at the Michigan Golf Show this month Choose a link to watch the show:
