Vartan Kupelian, former golf writer for the Detroit News, completed his two year stint as the President of the Golf Writers Association of America at this year's Masters. Soon, his photograph will join the other past presidents of the GWAA on the walls of the Masters Press Center Dining Room. While golf was Kupelian's primary responsiblity at the Detroit News, he spent many of his early years at the paper covering the Red Wings. Jennie McCafferty caught up with Kupelian just after he stepped down from his presidency.
